BSOD
An ongoing series started in 2009

In this ongoing series, started in 2009, I trace the quiet afterlife of failed machines and broken infrastructures. Abandoned error screens, frozen interfaces, and obsolete hardware become urban fossils that show how our memories and movements depend on fragile technological systems. The idea of “ghost hardware” runs through the project: machines that still occupy space but no longer function, lingering as shells of past use in a world that constantly updates and replaces its devices. These images reflect how, today, technology never fully disappears but returns as glitches, leftovers, and silent witnesses to the pace of change. I document these system faults and malfunctions on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/minordistorsions.
