HYAEPAE
Mostar B&H, 2021

Hyphae is an audio-visual performance for Street Art Festival opening in Mostar, inspired by the history of the Stari Most, 15th century bridge in south of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On November 9, 1993, one of the most exemplary pieces of Islamic architecture in Eastern Europe, Stari Most was deliberately destroyed during the civil war. Experiencing war events like this helped me understand of importance of architecture and history of my region.

Looking through archive of bridge and exploring mycelium inspired me to create audio-visual ecosystem. Name came during reading ‘Na mjesecini’ by Aleksa Santic, who was Bosnian-Herzegovian poem from Mostar.

Working on realistic models in studio helped me to find the spot between virtual and physical space, organic and mechanical, chaos and order.
