‘Open’ is a recurring collective performance that questions the very act of rebellion by turning expressions of the capitalist system and its mass media culture against itself.

‘Open’ reconstructs events which occurred during the 2020 protest in New York. It included an installation of found objects with photographs and video material from looting Louis Vouton, Dolce & Gabbana and Leica Store. A crooked photograph of a young
Lakota Indian woman “Women of the White Buffalo” from a Leica store makes the observer an active participant triggering a recurring void of events: performance of an artist breaking into his own gallery, public stealing artworks and vandalizing the space. Exhibition remained open without security for seven days. It was documented through a self-made circuit of surveillance cameras within the gallery space.
